Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. Her family was raised as part of an ethnically diverse family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is Malaysian. Jacqueline is the oldest of two siblings and a younger sibling. Her family was born and raised in Bahrain. Her parents had been to the country in the 1980s as a result of the turmoil that occurred in Sri Lanka. Schooling was finished within Bahrain and she received the Scholarship to attend at the University of Sydney. There she graduated with a Media and Communications degree. Passionate about languages and cultures inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz language school, where she mastered French and Arabic while learning Spanish. In 2006 she was named the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 in March 2006. She also participated at Miss Universe 2006. Following her winning the 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone entered the television world as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the child of the badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. She played badminton at the national championships as a teenager but gave her sports career up to pursue a career as a model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Padukone Village is located in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka in India. His father, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of world-class fame, while her mother works as a travel agent.
